Adelaide—All the options for the development of the stalled Sunrise LNG project in the Timor Sea are back on the table, Woodside Petroleum CEO Peter Coleman said May 14. Dialogue over Sunrise has been reopened in the 12 months since Coleman took the helm of Australia’s largest LNG producer from predecessor Don Voelte, who was an outspoken advocate for the joint venture’s plans for a floating production facility at the field. For its part, the government of Timor-Leste has been adamant in the past that the only development option it would approve would be an onshore LNG plant built on its southern coast.
