UAE’s TAQA boosts stakein key North Sea field

London—The Abu Dhabi National Energy Com-pany, or TAQA, has acquired an additional13.5% interest in the UK’s undeveloped Clad-han oil field from Canada’s Sterling Resourc-es for $47 million, TAQA said April 20.The deal will boost the stake of TAQA’sNorth Sea unit, TAQA Bratani, in the Cladhanfield to 40.1% and allow TAQA to assumeoperatorship of the field after approval of afinal field development plan, which is expect-ed to be submitted by the end of September.
