KNOC raises $1 billion tofinance asset acquisitions

Seoul—South Korea’s state-run oil developerKorea National Oil Corporation said March 27it has raised $1 billion via a bond issue andthe funds will be used to finance its overseasasset acquisitions.The five-year bonds were sold at a yieldof 3.189%, the lowest rate for South Koreancorporate debt issued this year, KNOC said ina statement.The debt sale marks the fourth year in arow that the state company has issued bondsoverseas. KNOC raised $1 billion in 2011,$700 million in 2010 and $1 billion in 2009.
