Kuala Lumpur—GDF Suez expects to make a final investment decision on its proposed Bonaparte floating LNG project off northern Australia in 2014, a senior executive at the French company said June 8. “We intend to take FID in 2014, but we are in a very, very advanced stage of engineering,” Jean-Marie Dauger, GDF’s vice president of global gas and LNG, told reporters on the sidelines of the World Gas Conference in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. “This project will be dedicated to delivering LNG in the region.”
