London-The UK's Rockhopper Exploration has begun to discuss financing options with banks to develop its landmark Sea Lion discovery off the disputed Falkland Islands in the southern Atlantic, although a final investment decision may still be two years away, the company said July 1. London-listed Rockhopper said it is fully funded to complete appraisal drilling on the Sea Lion field, noting however that a development off the Falklands would require "considerable" further financing.
