UK's rockhopper discovers more oil offshore falklands

London-The UK's Rockhopper Exploration has made a second discovery close to its landmark Sea Lion oil find off the disputed Falkland Islands in the South Atlantic, the company said November 9. Exploration well 14/10-9 in the North Falklands Basin hit 9.6 meters of net oil pay and 8.4 meters of net gas pay in the Casper prospect, some 6 km to the southwest of the original Sea Lion discovery well.
