London-BP has been ordered to address safety lapses on three of its UK offshore oil and gas installations by UK regulators just seven months after its massive Macondo blowout in the Gulf of Mexico, official documents show. According to an "Improvement Notice" published by the UK's Health and Safety Executive on February 2, BP ignored key risk assessment procedures and put its staff in danger on some of its operating equipment in the North Sea and waters West of Shetland in late 2010.
