US refining sector boosts products exports

Houston-The heart of the US refining sector is circulating more products, such as diesel, into the global market as domestic demand for some fuels slows. The US has emerged as a net exporter of diesel while remaining a net importer of gasoline. The East Coast still imports a lot of gasoline, about 36% of its gasoline requirements for the 12 months through February 2011.
