Gabon approves Total's entry into three onshore licenses

Cape Town-The Gabon government has approved the acquisition by France's Total of three onshore exploration assets in the sedi- mentary basin of the country. Under the terms of the deal, Total is to take a 50% interest in the Mutabra-Iroru license alongside Houston-based Vaalco, a 30% stake in the DE7 license alongside France's Perenco as well as a 20% interest in the Nziembou licenses, also with Perenco and UK-listed Tullow Oil.
