Slovakia to buy Transpetrol stake from Yukos unit

London—Yukos International said March 26 that the government of Slovakia has agreed to pay it $240 million for a 49% stake in Slo-vakian crude oil pipeline operator Transpetrol.Yukos International is the remaining unit of bankrupt Russian oil producer Yukos, and the Transpetrol stake was the last significant operating asset of the Yukos companies, it said. Yukos bought the 49% stake in 2002, with the Slovak government retaining a majority 51% share.
