New York-The search for a suitable partner goes on for Calgary-based UTS Energy after its shareholders rejected a second offer from French major Total Canada and Total walked away from its offer that expired on April 27.Total's offer of C$1.75/share ($1.45), upped from a previous $1.30/share made in January, "is inadequate and not in the best interest of UTS," the Canadian-owned oil sands player had said in a statement April 23.
