Russia, Italy, Turkey back Samsun-Ceyhan oil pipeline

London-The energy ministers of Russia, Italy and Turkey signed a joint agreement October 19 confirming their commitment to Turkey's planned 1.5 million b/d Bosporus bypass oil pipeline from its Black Sea terminal Samsun to Ceyhan on its Mediterranean coast. In a statement, Italian oil major Eni said energy ministers from the three countries confirmed plans to "guarantee the stable and balanced regulatory framework needed for the construction of the Samsun-Ceyhan pipeline."
