摘要

Hong Kong-China's apparent petroleum demand tapered off in August, registering a 5.4% drop from July as the world's second-largest oil consumer trimmed its overall oil imports and crude throughput. Chinese oil demand was 33.02 million mt in August, down from 34.92 million mt in July, according to Platts' estimates based on recent figures released by the Chinese government. The monthly drop was the first recorded since March, when the country's oil demand started gradually picking up from a low of 27.91 million mt in February.
