China ended 2011 on a high note with apparent oil demand rebounding in December to a new record-high of 9.866 million barrels per day, according to Energy Intelligence calculations. The surge helped push the country’s apparent oil demand in 2011 to 9.46 million b/d, a 5.4% increase compared with 2010.
