Statoil starts up Snohvit LNG production, though cargo delayed

London-Norwegian major Statoil said September 21 it had begun production of LNG from the Norwegian Snohvit LNG plant in northern Norway as scheduled September 13, but the first cargo is not expected to be ready for loading until September 28 at the earliest because of now resolved, unspecified technical problems.
