INSULATION STRUCTURE FOR CARGO HOLD OF LNG CARRIER AND PROCESS FOR THE PRODUCTION THEREOF

PURPOSE: An insulation structure for a LNG(Liquefied Natural Gas) storage tank and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to obtain stability by dispersing stress due to the thermal shrinkage and expansion because auxiliary secondary barriers arranged on secondary barriers are alternately crossed. CONSTITUTION: An insulation structure for a LNG storage tank comprises a lower insulation structure(100) and an upper insulation structure(200). The upper insulation structure is laminated on the lower insulation structure. The lower insulation structure comprises lower insulation boards(110), secondary barriers(120), and auxiliary secondary barriers(130). The lower insulation boards are fixed in an inner side of a storage tank. The secondary barriers are laminated and fixed on the lower insulation boards. The auxiliary secondary barriers have a transverse member(132) and a longitudinal member. Both ends of the transverse member and the longitudinal member are placed and fixed on the secondary barriers adjoining each other.
