New York-August crude futures on the New York Mercantile Exchange settled 16 cents higher at 74.43/barrel July 21,having chopped in a 1.30/barrel range on light vol- ume. Gains across the complex primarily result- ed from hostilities in the Middle East between Israel and Hezbollah.
