El Paso pays 255 million for Texas producing assets

New York-El Paso Corp.'s wholly owned subsidiary El Paso Exploration & Production has agreed to acquire producing properties and undeveloped acreage in Zapata County, Texas, for 255 million, the parent company said November 10. In a statement, El Paso said the properties complement its existing Texas Gulf Coast operations and "provide a re-entry into the Lobo trend."
