Vancouver-Unshaken by the risks of investing in Russia,Petro-Canada is certain a "viable project" can be negotiated with Gazprom to bring Russian gas to North America for the first time to supply a proposed LNG terminal in Quebec,CEO Ron Brenneman said July 27.He said almost 10 months of talks with Gazprom have focussed the two sides on a "couple of issues...and what it might take to move the project forward."Brenneman told analysts results of a six-month study on the project were presented to Gazprom two months ago and "discussions are progressing as planned." He has previously shrugged off uncertainties of Russian investing,putting Petro-Canada in league with other US and European companies making major investments there.
