Vancouver-Committed to extracting "fair value" from its oil and gas resources,the Alberta government will decide this fall whether to hike provincial royalties,Energy Minister Greg Melchin said Aug 17.A review of the "whole question of fair share" will be completed this fall,he told the Alberta legislature energy committee earlier this week.Melchin said the province's take from net oil and gas production revenues was 21% in 2003,the last year for which figures are available,and is currently about 22%,short of the 25% benchmark set by the government.
