Stock at US' Patterson-UTI dives after disclosure of embezzlement scheme

Houston-High-flying shares of US land driller Patterson-UTI Energy took a nose-dive Nov 11 after it revealed an alleged long-running,us70-mil embezzlement by an unnamed former officer.The revelation came just one week after resignation of CFO Jonathan "Jody" Nelson,36,who Patterson said left for "personal reasons." Efforts to reach Nelson were unsuccessful and Patterson did not respond to requests for more information.
