Singapore-The Maldives is determined to build a bunker fuel supply business that would undercut the bunkering business in rival Sri Lanka, and wants a major trader to help start up the operation, a top official with Maldives National Oil Company said in Singapore June 25. Ahmed Muneez, a director of both MNOC and the Maldives' State Trading Organization, said his country was determined to grab a slice of the bunker business passing by its window.
