Norwegian oil producers June 3 said they hoped to avert a strike during talks this week with offshore platform managers that threatens some 215,000 b/d of oil production from this weekend. On June 2, Norway's Lederne trade union said it would pull 86 workers from StatoilHydro's Snorre A platform and Shell's Draugen A field starting June 7 if an agreement is not reached on wages and night shift hours.
