Lagos—An oil industry-wide strike plan over job cuts at ExxonMobil has been called off following successful talks with the US company and government officials, Nigeria's white collar oil workers union Pengassan said March 31."We have been able to resolve the issues with the government and Mobil Oil," Pengassan President Peter Esele told Platts, referring to the ExxonMobil unit in Nigeria. "Mobil has agreed to recall some of our members that were sacked, so the strike has been called off."
