US Gulf Coast cash heavy sour crude prices tumbled sharply in late trade Monday,although most traders were uncertain about the reasons behind the declines.January delivery Mars Blend was reported done at a 9.50/barrel discount to WTI,and later at 10.30/b discount.There was talk of a deal done at a 9.80/discount but this could not be verified.Offers for the grade,however,were steadily declining most of the afternoon.On Friday,this grade was assessed at a 9/b discount.
