Conventional unleaded differentials softened during trading Wednesday in the US Gulf,despite news of problems at Valero's Texas City refinery.Differentials for the 9.0 RVP con ventional unleaded(M2)started the day at NYMEX July RBOB contract plus 0.50 cents/gal,drifting down even after Valero said it was flaring units at its 245,000 b/d Texas City refinery because of a steam loss.
