Egypt will increase transit fees by 3% next year for ships using the Suez Canal,the canal authority chairman Ahmed Ali Fadel saidj thursday.Canal tolls were also raised by 3% in 2005.Around 18,700 ships carrying 665-mil mt of goods are expected to generate record revenues of 3.42-bil in 2005,up from 3.275-bil in 2004,Fadel told reporters.
