Better outlook for steel to stabilise alloy prices in China

Indian silico-manganese domestic and export prices increased by ~12% m/m, but this was notsufficient to accommodate the increase in ore prices and many furnaces have been idled.Chinese ferroalloy prices were not able to hold onto the gains seen late-July, but August assessedprices are all higher m/m. Continued strong steel production and on-going environmental inspectionsshould allow prices to stabilise at current levels.
