According to the quantity of crude steel produced in China during a period of the 11th to 20th of February as reported, the daily output of crude steel in China in February is calculated to be 1.814 million tons, having shown a firm tone in activities of steel production in China after Lunar New Year was over. On the basis of this daily output in February, the output of crude steel in China for 2011 is estimated to be 662.1 million tons on an annualized base by an expansion of 5.6% from that ( 626.6 million tons ) for 2010.
