Clariant, Siemens Eye Commercialization Of New Technology for Coal Gasification

Muttenz— Clariant and Siemens Fuel Gasification Technology have signed an agreement to cooperate in the commercialization of a new, jointly developed sour gas shift (SGS) technology for coal gasification. Under the agreement, Clariant will be the exclusive catalyst supplier for all Siemens gasification integrated SGS projects, with commercialization focused on China, which is the region with the highest growth rate of coal-to-chemical projects.
