Enslewood— Gevo has begun shipping renewable paraxylene (bioPX) from its Silsbee, Texas, pilot facility to Toray for the production of bio-based polyethylene terephthalate (bioPET). In 2012, Toray signed an off-take agreement with Gevo for the supply by Gevo of bioPX to be used by Toray for pilot-scale production of bioPET (PCN, 2 Sept 2013, p 4).
