Sabic Opting Out of Methanol-to-Olefins JV with Sinopec in Trinidad & Tobago

Riyadh— Saudi Basic Industries Corp. (Sabic) has decided not to proceed with a methanol-to-olefins project planned as a joint venture with Sinopec in Trinidad and Tobago (PCN, 20 Feb 2012, p 3). Sabic and Sinopec last year were selected over other contenders by the government of Trinidad and Tobago for the proposed $5.3-billion project.
