LSB's Packaging Division Teams with Coke To Expand Beaune PET Recycling Plant

Wrexham-APPE, the packaging division of La Seda de Barcelona (LSB), has established a joint venture with Coca-Cola Enterprises (CCE) in France that will lead to a "major" further expansion of APPE's Beaune, France, polyethylene terephthalate (PET) recycling facility, said LSB. The expansion will increase the Beaune site's PET recycling capacity 70% to 48,000 t/y from 28,000 t/y, calling for the recycling of an additional 390-million PET bottles annually.
