Oslo—Odfjell is re-entering the gas market with the acquisition of two modern liquefied petroleum gas/ethylene gas carriers from two companies based in Singapore and controlled by the BLT Group. The ships, MT Gas Sumbawa and MT Gas Lombok, each have about 9,000 cu m of carrying capacity and were built by STX Shipbuilding, of Korea, in 2008. Odfjell expects to take delivery in August and September 2012.
