BNDES Approves Credit to Braskem Idesa For Construction of Etileno XXI in Mexico

Veracruz—Braskem Idesa said the Brazilian National Economic and Social Development Bank (BNDES) has approved a $700-million line of credit to help finance construction of the Etileno XXI project in Mexico (PCN, 23 Apr 2012, p 4). This funding is in addition to the $300-million A loan complemented by a $300-million syndicated B loan approved recently by the Inter-American Development Bank. SACE, the Italian credit bureau, has also approved some financing.
