Anadarko Petroleum said it expects to cut its capital spending in half in 2016 as it continues to adjust to the harsh reality of persistently low oil and gas prices. The Houston-based producer said it plans to recommend a 2016 capex budget of about $2.8 billion to its board, which would be almost 50% lower than its 2015 spending total.
