The deputy governor of the Bank of Canada, Timothy Lane, has warned that the collapse in oil prices has put Canada's post-recession economic recovery at risk. "We see important risks to Canada's economic outlook stemming from the recent decline in the price of oil and other commodities," Lane said in a speech Tuesday in Wisconsin. Lane also warned that the oil price collapse may not be over and that prices may remain at low levels for a "significant period."
