Cabot Ramps Up Eagle Ford Output, Seeks More Acreage

Cabot Oil & Gas reported strong production growth in the Eagle Ford Shale of South Texas during the second quarter of this year that helped push up liquids volumes for the company, whose output continues to be dominated by its Marcellus Shale gas operations in the US Northeast. Cabot's Eagle Ford production hit 10,308 barrels of oil equivalent per day (roughly 95% liquids), up 42% from the first quarter of 2014 and 76% ahead of year-earlier levels. The company's overall liquids production (crude oil, condensate and natural gas liquids) came in at 10,560 boe/d.
