Williams, Shell Form Marcellus Midstream Venture

Williams Partners and Shell Oil have formed a new midstream joint venture, Three Rivers Midstream, to provide natural gas gathering and processing services for producers in the Marcellus and Utica shale plays in Northwest Pennsylvania. Three Rivers said it has signed a long-term, fee-based dedicated gathering and processing agreement for Shell’s production in the area. The joint venture also plans to pursue gathering and processing agreements with other producers in the liquids-rich areas of Northwest Pennsylvania and Northeast Ohio.
