The Russian Federal Subsurface Resources Agency (Rosnedra) does not see any reason to revoke licenses held by OJSC Mechel subsidiary Yuzhny Kuzbass or Southern Kuzbass Coal Company, the agency's deputy chief Vladimir Bavlov told the press."Yuzhny Kuzbass is working normally. Some things have been seen, but there are no grounds for halting [subsurface resource usage rights] ahead of time," Bavlov said. A review of Yaku-tugol operations has yet to be completed, so Rosnedra has not received conclusions from the Federal Ecological, Technological and Nuclear Oversight Agency (Rostekhnadzor), he said.
