Polyus selling 385 mln dollars in KazakhGold assets in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan to Asaubayev family

Jersey-registered Polyus Gold International Ltd (PGIL), which is the controlling shareholder in OJSC Polyus Gold, has signed a conditional agreement with a structure of the Asaubayev family's Altyngroup for the sale of PGIL's assets in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan at a combined worth of 385 million dollars, the seller said in a statement. This amount includes Kazakhaltyn's debt (290 million dollars) owed to Jenington, a subsidiary of PGIL, which will act as buyer.
