The Koidu diamond mine, in Sierra Leone, has exceeded expectations by producing over 35 000 ct in the first month's operation of its new 180 t/h dense-media separation (DMS) processing plant. The DMS plant is part of Octea's long-term strategy in the country, where the expansion project brings the total investment to 300-mil-lion dollars.
