摘要

A low phase noise push-push oscillator using compact spiral resonator (SR) array is presented in this letter. The proposed SR array can provide high frequency selectivity in compact size due to its intrinsic source-load coupling structure. In addition, the SR array acts as a phase coupling network to ensure the out of phase operation mode in two suboscillators. The proposed SR array has a very compact size of 0.17(g)x0.17(g). A 14.2 GHz push-push oscillator based on this SR array has been designed and implemented. The measured phase noise is -108.35 dBc/Hz at 100 kHz offset frequency, and the suppression of fundamental frequency and the third harmonic are -23.16 dBc and -37.21 dBc, respectively.
