Henan Shenhuo smelter to build new potline

SINGAPORE - China's Henan Shenhuo Aluminium Power has embarked on an expansion plan to construct a new 140,000 tpy primary aluminium potline at its plant at Yongcheng city, Henan province.The expansion, which will take total capacity at the smelter to 200,000 tpy from 60,000 tpy currently, will come on stream by the end of next year. Equipped with pre-bake technology, the new facility will produce 70,000 tpy during its first phase of operation and is targeted to reach full production capacity by 2005.
