Shenhuo delays aluminum smelter commissioning to Nov-Dec: guild

Hong Kong—China’s Henan Shenhuo Group has delayed commissioning the 450,000 mt/ year phase 1 line of its 900,000 mt/year aluminum smelter in Yunnan province to November- December from October, as bad weather earlier in the year impacted the construction schedule, the Henan Provincial Nonferrous Metals Guild said on its website Tuesday. The second phase, which comprises another 450,000 mt/year aluminum line, is still scheduled to come online by 2020, data from the metals industry association showed.
