EUROPEAN STAINLESS MILLS PUSH FOR SECOND 50 EUROS PRICE HIKE

LONDON-Europe's big stainless mills say they are pushing for a second 50 euros per tonne price rise this year on benchmark 304 cold rolled coil. The latest rise, following the first in April, will take effect for deliveries towards the end of the second quarter.The new increase will take minimum base prices in the key German market up to 1,450 euros per tonne. The first increase has been accepted by end-users and stockists and the price trend is still upwards, mill executives told MB.
