The US International Trade Commission voted 6-0 in a final determination last week that imports of hot rolled coils from Argentina and South Africa caused or threatened material injury to the US industry. But in Canada three out of twelve countries under investigation were cleared of dumping HRC.The ITC vote means that an anti-dumping duty margin of 45 percent and a subsidy rate of 42 percent will he applied against HR imports from Argentina as well as an AD duty of 9 percent against South African material.
