USTR outlines list of China's WTO trade missteps in annual report to Congress

China's not playing fair in relation to a long list of agriculture-related concerns, the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative maintains in a 127-page annual report delivered this week to Congress.In "2011 Report to Congress on China's WTO Compliance," (www'. ustr.gov/wbfm_send/3189 ), released Monday, the USTR takes a hard look at how China is doing in complying with World Trade Organization rules. While the report does make a reference to the countervailing duties and tariffs placed on certain poultry products originating in the U.S. (see story, Page 12), China's missteps go beyond increased prices and accusations of dumping product on the Chinese market.
