By now, if you read this newsletter regularly, you're probably familiar with the dangers of Salmonella and E. coli, as well as all of the terms related to these pathogens. But what do you know about food contaminated with radiation? The issue of radiation-contaminated foods is a relatively new one for the public, though the general media has saturated us recently with reports that food coming from Japan might be dangerously dosed with radionuclides, leading some consumer groups and members of Congress to suggest that FDA block all imported food from the country.
