The United States isn't ready to support fast-track adoption of the Proposed Draft Principles and Guidelines for National Food Control Systems when the Codex Committee on Food Import and Export Inspection and Certification Systems (CCFICS) meets, Oct. 17-21, in Cairns, Australia.Drafted by a work group led by Australia, the document aims to help Codex member countries improve their food safety systems for domestic and exported foods.
